A DYNAMIC pathological process, such as the local response to injury, brings about the production of numerous substances by the injured cells. According to the prevalent view, directly vasodilative forces are augmented in the inflammation (for example, leucotaxin1 or hista-mine2). To the best of my knowledge there has been no previous report of the other possible mechanism, inactivation of vasoconstrictive factors. The latter could indirectly contribute to the vasodilatation.
