Abstract

THE disastrous effect of thalidomide on development of the human embryo1 has prompted us to investigate the influence of this substance on the development of the chick embryo. Although the results given here are only preliminary, we thought it advisable to publish them in a brief communication, as they may be of interest to other workers in this field.
