Abstract
A METHOD for the elution of proteins from starch gel has been described1 involving the setting of starch gel segments into a ‘Pevikon C-870’ (PVK) block and then, by performing electrophoresis, proteins are recovered from PVK. This technique affords a good recovery of proteins contaminated by a negligible amount of soluble starch; but it is time-consuming if many gel segments have to be handled.
