Effects of Carrageenin on Serum Lipids and Atherosclerosis in Rabbits

Abstract

IN recent years considerable interest has developed regarding an important role of aortic mucopolysaccharides with advancing age. On the other hand, a number of reports have dealt with the activities of heparin and other sulphated polysaccharides to clear visible lipæmia and also to retard arteriosclerotic process in arterial walls.
