Packing of Mixtures of Hard Spheres

Abstract

WE were pleased to see the recent communication1 by E. B. Smith and K. R. Lea on their Monte Carlo calculation for mixtures of hard-sphere molecules. We are quite interested in this problem and have been trying to approach it experimentally by studying the random packing of mixtures of real macroscopic spheres.
