Abstract
PREVIOUS publications1,2 attest to the existence of a physiological anticoagulating system in some animals. Moreover, a surmise was made concerning the presence in blood vessels of chemoreceptors reacting to the appearance of thrombin in the blood, and through the reflex arc calling into play a neuro-humoral mechanism which prevents the coagulation of the circulating blood.
