Abstract
IN the course of investigation into thalassæmia in Cyprus, unusual features were discovered in the hæmoglobin pattern of the Turkish Cypriot mother of a boy of eight suffering from moderately severe thalassæmia. The hæmatological picture of the child was typical of this condition, and 60 per cent of the total hæmoglobin was of fœtal type (hæmoglobin F).
