Use of Transparent Cellulose Film for Roller Tube Tissue Cultures

Abstract

FOR many years a plasma clot has been used as the solid medium to support the growth of cells in vitro, and has proved eminently suitable in many respects. It is well known, however, that plasma suffers from some disadvantages, the chief of which, until recently, have been the difficulty of its collection and the necessity for frequent patching of the clot to prevent detachment and loss of cultures.
