A Possible Vitamin E Deficiency occurring in a Herd of Pigs fed Standard Rations in the Tropics

Abstract

AT the Sigatoka Agricultural Station in the Fiji Islands, it had been noted that an occasional baby piglet was born exhibiting symptoms of muscular weakness and inco-ordination in one or more legs. These piglets were born in litters from both pure and cross-bred sows and gilts of the Tamworth, Berkshire and Large White breeds.
