Kinetic Isotope Effect in the Bromination of Dimethylaniline

Abstract

THE recent account by Shilov and Weinstein1 of a kinetic isotope effect in the iodination of some aromatic amines prompts us to report the observation of a similar effect in the bromination of dimethylaniline.
