Abstract
IN a recent communication, Thurber, Douglas and Galston1 reported that spraying of dwarf beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) with potassium gibberellate greatly decreased nodulation and they indicated the need for caution in the application of gibberellins to leguminous plants. Probably the most widely used legume in Britain is white clover (Trifolium repens), and it is therefore of interest to note the effect of gibberellic acid, on the nodulation of this plant.
