Abstract
FERNANDEZ-MORAN1 has reported the preparation of ultra-thin sections of metal, and showed electron micrographs and diffraction patterns of sections of pure germanium used for transistors. He cuts the metal with the Moran ultra-microtome equipped with a diamond knife.
