Cytology of Indian Species of Onychium

Abstract

THE fern genus Onychium Kaulf. is primarily an old-world representative of Bower's1 primitive gymnogrammoids. Excepting Bower1 and Holttum2, there is a general agreement in the pteroid affinity of the genus; but its exact phyletic treatment, however, differs considerably in the various systems of classifications1–5.
