A Very Rapid Two-Stage Solid–Solid Reaction and the Mosaic Structure of Potassium Permanganate

Abstract

STUDIES of self-sustained reaction by the temperature profile method1 have recently been extended to compressed mixtures of molybdenum and potassium permanganate and have shown that reaction occurs in two stages.
