Microbiological Determination of Free Amino-Acids in the Body Fluid of the Silkworm Larva (Bombyx mori)

THE kinds of free ammo-acids present in the body fluid of the silkworm larva have been determined by paper chromatography1, but little is known of the quantities present. The present work was carried out to determine the concentrations of individual free amino-acid by microbiological assay.
