Creatine–Creatinine Metabolism in Radiation Myopathy

Abstract

MUSCULAR weakness is one of the well-known clinical sequelæ of exposure of mammals to ionizing radiation. The degree of myasthenia is determined by the radiation dose to which the individual has been exposed. The present report deals with observations which may give a clue to some of the biochemical mechanisms underlying this radiation-induced myopathy.
