Abstract
IN the course of investigations on phage BM labelled with phosphorus-32, we have had occasion to study its inactivation at a temperature of 2–4° C. and at that of ‘dry ice’ (− 79° C). In this way an effect of temperature on the rate of inactivation has been observed, a result which may be of interest in wider investigations recently made by various authors1 on the combined effects of temperature and ionizing agents on viruses and protein molecules.
