Abstract
OOSPORES of charophytes are of considerable importance for age determination of freshwater deposits from the Devonian up to the present time. Minuteness and often indistinct sculpture make them difficult objects for study and photographic reproduction, however. During investigations on charophytes from the Triassic of Sweden, some new methods of overcoming these difficulties have been worked out with the assistance of Mr. K. E. Samuelsson, technician of the Palæobotanical Department, Riksmuseum, Stockholm.
