Abstract
THE lateral distribution function of extensive cosmic-ray showers has been investigated with ionization chambers in coincidence by Lewis1 at 3,100 metres, and more recently by Williams2 at 3,050 metres. We wish to report the results of a similar investigation with two ionization chambers at sea-level.
