IN view of the article on this subject which appeared in Nature of March 5, p. 372, it may be stated that the systematic exploration of clouds and rainfall by means of radar has been proceeding actively in Great Britain for some years past, though relatively little has been published, apart from official reports and memoranda. The photographs shown in the article referred to are characteristic of rainfall from a moving cold front.
