    ON June 12, the Electronics Group of the Institute of Physics held a symposium on substances of high permittivity, the so-called ferro-electrics. Three papers were followed by a discussion. Original results were reported by speakers both in the last two papers and in the discussion—a sign of the considerable interest shown.
