Optical Isomers of Amidone, with a Note on isoAmidone

Abstract

l-Amidone has been briefly reported1 to be an outstanding analgesic with about twice the activity of morphine, and this has recently been confirmed by us2. As no further chemical or pharmacological details appear to have been published, we give below a summary of our work in this field.
