Abstract

THE dreaded Pajeao disease was first described from the A tine in 1911, reached Europe in 1936, anriyead to five countries by 1942. It has not vet Appeared in Great Britain, but was found on fax in Eire in 1944, and afterwards it was seen fh cultivated flax (Loughnane, J. B., McKay, R., and Lafferty, H. A., Proc. Roy. Soc. Dublin, 24 (N.S.), 10,89; 1946).
