The organisation of numerous temporary exhibitions relevant to a variety of topical and educational subjects; lectures of strong Scottish interest; the practical support of the activities of outside educational and cultural institutions; the resumption of services for visiting classes of school children and various adult educational groups, and the regular showing of instructive motion films, have all contributed to the winning of the firm public appreciation which the Royal Scottish Museum merits.
