Abstract
COLONEL CHABLES HENRY DUDLEY RYDEB died on July 13 at Bognor Regis at the age of seventy-seven. He was the seventh son of Colonel Spencer Dudley Ryder and was educated at Cheltenham College and the R.M.A. Woolwich, whence he received a commission in the Royal Engineers. After the usual courses of instruction at Chatham, he proceeded to India and was posted in due course to the Survey of India, in which the whole of his subsequent career was spent.
