Abstract
THE analysis of wireworm populations has been impeded by lack of knowledge of the number of growth-stages through which wireworms pass during their larval life. In the course of a study of wire-worm larvæ, I have found that the growth-stage to which any larva belongs can be determined by counting the number of teeth on the borders of the spiracles.
