Abstract

OF all the common alloys used by the engineer, solder is by far the most expensive. Further, as a result of the temporary loss of the main tin-producing area in the Empire, the utmost economy in the utilization of this metal, an essential ingredient in most solders, is imperative. The present time is, therefore, particularly appropriate for the publication of a second edition of a valuable little compilation which has been out of print for some time.
