Abstract

THE Department of Scientific and Industrial Research has recently issued the annual report for 1938 of the Food Investigation Board under the chairmanship of Sir Joseph Barcroft*. The report describes experimental work carried out under the general direction of Mr. Eric Barnard, at the Low Temperature Research Station, Cambridge, with sub-stations at Covent Garden and Smith-field, the Torry Research Station, Aberdeen, and the Ditton Laboratory, Maidstone.
