Abstract
THIS book provides a summary of geological history; but it must be stated at once that this history has special reference to North America, since mention—end that brief—is made of only a few non-American topics or examples. It is not intended for the specialist, its aim being to provide a short general survey of earth-history. As the authors say, their intention is to bring into relief the high lights of this history, and this they certainly succeed in doing.
