Abstract
ON passing a stream of carbon dioxide through strongly cooled, pure α-amino acid esters or their solutions (for example, in ether) with certain precautions, new crystalline products have been obtained. After careful purification the products give analytical data which correspond to the formulæ of carbamates of the α-amino acid esters of the general formula
