Abstract
THE first superintendent of the new Engineering Research Establishment in Australia (see p. 697) is Mr. L. P. Coombes, formerly senior scientific assistant of the Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough, where he was in charge of the aeroplane experimental tank.
