Abstract
THE flux-cutting equations, Hâ = [VJ] = ϵ[VE] and Eâ = − [VB] = − µ[VH], enunciated in my article in NATURE of February 5, in conjunction with the ionic constitution of matter and the simple physical treatment of electric wave propagation, have suggested some novel physical concepts which may help towards at least a partial reconciliation between the classical and modern theories.
