Abstract
WITH reference to communications on valency and electronic structure published in this journal from time to time1, we wish to direct attention to the spectrum of N+2 and particularly to the term (C) 2 (3.52 e.v. above (B) 2) found by Watson and Koontz2 some time ago. This term, being the second excited level of 2 type, is produced by the excitation of the unpaired 3s (2p) electron of the ground state (X) 2, to the group 3d(3s).
