Structure of the Nuclei in the Salivary Gland Cells of Drosophila

Abstract

STUDIES of the structure of the nuclei in the salivary glands of various species of Drosophila (hydei, repleta, funebris, lugubrina, virilis) have shown no essential differences of structure among these species. Their structure may strictly speaking be illustrated by one diagram, which can be applied to any one of the species, allowing for slight corresponding alterations.
