Abstract

THE existence of free positive electrons or positrons was first reported by me in September 19321, from cosmic ray experiments carried out at the California Institute of Technology. In the original paper, all possible alternative interpretations of the effects there presented were discussed in detail, and it was shown that only by calling upon the existence of free positive electrons could those effects be logically interpreted.
