WE regret to record the death, at the early age of forty-eight years, of Marc Bridel, of the Museum national d'Histoire naturelle and chief pharmacist to the Hopital Lariboisiere, Paris. M. Bridel, a pupil of the late Prof. Bourquelot, published numerous papers on vegetable glucosides and their hydrolyses by enzymes, and was a well-known figure in French chemical and biochemical circles.
