Part-Absorption in X-Rays

Nature volume 128, pages 224225 (08 August 1931) | Download Citation

IN connexion with the experiments of one of us (B. R.) on the part-absorption in X-rays,1 the results of other workers on the same subject are conflicting. While Cork,2 Lindsay,3 and Van der Tuuk4 report negative results, Bhargava and Mukherjee5 confirm our results so far as the part-absorption lines are concerned. It seems to us that the conflicting results obtained by different authors are simply due to the thickness of the absorption screens used by them in their experiments.
