    BIRMINGHAM.—At the annual degree congregation on July 4, the honorary degree of M.Sc. is to be conferred on the following: R. A. Chattock, formerly chief electrical engineer to the City of Birmingham; W. Wickham King, known for his work on the Permian breccia; J. H. Reynolds, who has made a special study of the nebute; and J. J. Shaw, known for his seismo-logical work.
