(1) Problems of Polar Research: a Series of Papers by Thirty-one Authors (2) The Geography of the Polar Regions

Abstract

(1) THIRTY-ONE authors, most with personal experience of the polar regions and each an expert in some branch of research, have contributed to the first of these volumes. The result is a collection of papers of the highest value, which reflects great credit on the enterprise of the American Geographical Society. There must obviously be a certain overlap among several of the papers, just as certain topics are overlooked, but this does not detract from the value of the collection.
