From: Δ9-Tetrahydrocannabinol inhibits epithelial growth factor-induced lung cancer cell migration in vitro as well as its growth and metastasis in vivo

Figure 4

Effect of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) on the epidermal growth factor (EGF)-induced phosphorylation of both epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and focal adhesion kinase (FAK) in A549 cells. A549 cells were incubated overnight with 10 μ M of THC in serum-free medium supplemented with 0.1% FBS and then stimulated with EGF (10 ng/ml; 100 ng/ml) or vehicle for 10 min. The blots were analysed for EGFR phosphorylation and FAK phosphorylation by western blotting with anti-p-EGFR (Tyr-1173) antibody and anti-p-FAK (Tyr-397) antibody, respectively. Total levels of EGFR and FAK protein in each lane are shown.
