MECP2 does not act via the AR pathway. LNCaP cells stably infected with a retroviral vector (pWB3/MECP2 or the control vector pWB3) were treated with AR antagonist for 0, 5, or 10 days. (a) Cell extracts were prepared and resolved by SDS–PAGE, transferred, and analysed for MECP2, AR, PSA, and NSE. (b) Cells stably expressing MECP2 or not were cultured with and without an AR antagonist for 5 days. Representative pictures are shown.
