Expression of tuberin is associated with increased phosphorylation of FAK in MDCK cells. Cells were serum starved and FAK was immunoprecipitated from 500 μg protein lysate. Immunoprecipitated FAK was immunoblotted for FAK and phosphotyrosine. The ratio of P-Tyr/FAK was determined by densitometry. Results are representative of three independent experiments. A 2.3–4.6-fold increase in phosphorylated FAK was observed for tuberin expressing cell lines (T1, T2 and T8) compared to pMSCVneo control cell line P2
