Abstract

THIS book is a very useful piece of anti-Fundamentalist polemic. The underlying causes of that strange reaction have been diagnosed by Prof. Kirsopp Lake, of Harvard, as “general but imperfect education and democratic government.” If that be so, perhaps the United States will not be the only country to be affected by this strange recrudescence of superstition.
