Abstract
PROF. GUGLIELMO KORNER, who died recently in Milan at the age of eighty-six years, was a native of Cassel. After extensive travels in European countries he became professor of chemistry at the Royal High School of Agriculture at Milan, remaining in that capacity for forty years. His work on the constitution of pyridine and quinoline and on the orientation of derivatives of benzene is well known. He was the Davy medallist in 1900 of the Royal Society, and an honorary fellow of the Chemical Society.
