Abstract
THE dictionary gives the definitions and in many cases short descriptions of a large number of terms used in chemistry. Practically all branches are covered, and the book is up-to-date. A few sections, taken at random, were: deanimation, hæmacytometer, iso-merism, oligodynamic action, quinocarbonium, thermodynamics, ultramicroscope, and X-ray analysis, and in each case a clear and accurate account of the topic was presented. The book should prove useful to technical journalists and for general reference, as well as to chemists.
