Underground Waters for Commercial Purposes

Nature volume 92, pages 474475 (25 December 1913) | Download Citation

THE title of this book is rather misleading. Although the contents are interesting and useful so far as they go, the book cannot in any way be regarded as a text-book for those engaged in advising as to water supply or in carrying out works for storage and distribution for domestic use or for power purposes. The subjects dealt with are the storage and flow of underground water in porous soils, and the chemical properties of this water, but nothing is said as to how this underground water can be made serviceable.
