Abstract
EVERYONE interested in the science of pottery manufacture will welcome the appearance of this little handbook. Mr. Stephenson is known to be a practical pottery chemist, and should, therefore, be competent to remove the reproach often made against the English that they have contributed little or nothing in the way of scientific text-books dealing with the practical side of pottery, though France, Germany, and the United States have each in turn shown great activity in this special department of work.
