Abstract
WHILE engaged in the survey of Loch Trieg, Invernessshire, on May 22, Dr. T. N. Johnston and Mr. J. Parsons, of the British Lakes Survey, observed what appears to be an undoubted seiche, i.e. a periodic variation in the level of a lake, considered by Prof. Forel, among others, to be due to sudden changes in barometric pressure, whilst others, again, consider them due to earth-movements.
