Abstract
THE spicula observed by your correspondent (NATURE, vol. xx. p. 316) lying underneath the albuminiparous gland in some specimens of Helix aspersa are probably Spicula Amoris. Their calcareous composition if coupled with a quadrangular outline would establish the fact.
