How effective are endoscopic gel injections in treating pediatric vesicoureteral reflux?

A US team has called for the endoscopic injection of nonanimal stabilized hyaluronic acid–dextranomer (NASHA–Dx; a nonimmunogenic, biodegradable gel that does not migrate from the injection site) to be adopted as a first-line treatment for children with grade II–IV vesicoureteral reflux.
